A random cricket team generator draws names from a fixed list of sides. This one holds 121 names. You choose a pool, whether you want men, women, or both, and a region, then ask for up to 100 teams. Duplicates are off by default, so each name appears once until the filtered list runs out.
The result is a team name, such as India or Mumbai Indians. It is not a ranking, a score, or a playing XI. Test, ODI, and T20 are match formats. They are not filters on this page, because a national side can play all three and a franchise plays one competition.
The default is 5 teams from the full list. India and India Women are separate entries, so a women-only filter returns India Women and leaves the men's side out. Zimbabwe is a full member. The Netherlands is an ODI associate, not a full member.

The ICC men's teams page lists 12 full members. Full membership is the status that carries Test cricket and a vote at the ICC. Each of those members also has a women's side in this draw, named with “Women” after the country.
The 2025–27 World Test Championship, described in the ICC's cycle announcement, is nine of those twelve. Afghanistan, Ireland, and Zimbabwe play Tests and sit outside that table. Each of the nine plays six opponents, three at home and three away.

A quiz can ask which format a side plays. The button still returns the name only.

| Test | Up to five days. Official Tests are played by ICC full members. |
| ODI | One-day international. Each side has 50 overs. |
| T20I | Twenty20 international. Each side has 20 overs. |
| The Hundred | A franchise competition of 100 balls a side. It is not an international format, and it is not a 20-over match. |
Counts are the clubs stored for that competition. The 2026 IPL has 10 men's franchises. The 2026 WPL has five. The Hundred has eight clubs, and the women's competition uses the same eight names, so those eight are stored once. County Championship and Sheffield Shield are complete. The Ranji Trophy row is a sample.
