HTML for HubSpot
It writes the contact block for email sent from the HubSpot CRM. The HTML is a presentation table in Arial or Helvetica, with inline styles and a 3 pixel accent bar. Photo + text can add a 72 by 72 image beside that bar. A second copy is plain text.
HubSpot’s knowledge base article “Add and manage email signatures in the CRM,” updated May 29, 2026, tells you to open Settings, General, the Email tab, then Manage email signatures. That screen has a Simple editor and an HTML editor. Copy HTML from this page belongs in the HTML editor. HubSpot also notes that email clients handle custom HTML differently, so a border radius or image crop that shows in this preview can change in the sent message.
An empty name becomes the words Your Name. A custom color is used only when it is a hash followed by six hex digits. Any other value uses #ff7a59. The fields stay in the browser.
Paste the HTML source into HubSpot’s HTML editor. The Simple editor wants the formatted preview instead.
Replace Jordan Lee and the example.com links with your own name, title, and contact lines. The preview updates as you type.
Pick a preset or a six-digit hex color. Photo + text shows an image only after you check Show profile photo and paste an http or https URL.
Copy HTML is the source for HubSpot’s HTML editor. Select the preview instead if you are pasting into the Simple editor.
Settings, General, Email, Manage email signatures. Open HTML, paste, and click Save.
One signature is available on the plans HubSpot lists as all products. Extra signatures, and a different default for each connected inbox, need Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise and an assigned Sales Seat. The checkbox Use as my global default signature is the one HubSpot uses with the Signature personalization token. A signature on a team address is edited in the conversations inbox, not on this CRM screen.
What the preview, the HTML box, and the plain-text copy contain.
| Setting | This generator |
|---|---|
| HTML layout | A presentation table, Arial or Helvetica, inline styles |
| Plain text | The same lines, without tags or the accent color |
| Sample name | Jordan Lee, Account Executive, Acme Solutions |
| Default accent | #ff7a59 (preset labeled HubSpot) |
| Default layout | Text only, photo off |
| Photo | Photo + text, checkbox on, and an http or https image URL |
| Button | Label plus a valid http or https URL |
| Empty name | Your Name |
| Preview | Updates as you type |
| Affiliation | Independent of HubSpot |
Empty optional fields are left out. The button needs both a label and a usable URL. The photo needs the split layout as well.
The name is 16px and bold. Title and company share one line, separated by a middle dot. An empty name becomes Your Name.
Both are optional and render at 12px in gray. The tagline box starts empty. Its placeholder is not part of the signature.
One row, separated by vertical bars. Email, website, and LinkedIn use the accent. The phone stays gray. LinkedIn’s visible word is LinkedIn.
Shown when the label and an http or https URL are both set. The sample label is Book a meeting.
HubSpot orange, Emerald, Navy, or Slate, or # plus six hex digits. Other text falls back to #ff7a59.
Text only is the default. Photo + text adds a 72 by 72 image only when the checkbox and a valid image URL are both set.
The visible text and the link address are not always the same string.
| Field | What you see | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Shown as typed | mailto: with the address encoded | |
| Phone | Shown as typed, in gray | tel: with digits and + only |
| Website | Scheme stripped from the label | http or https, scheme added if missing |
| The word LinkedIn | The http or https URL you entered | |
| Button | The label you typed, in white | Omitted unless the URL is http or https |
The values already filled in when the page opens. The tagline box starts empty, so that line is absent until you type one.
